If you've registered for GDC, you can use the same login credentials. Adding a session to your schedule does not guarantee you a seat. Sessions do fill up, so please arrive early to sessions that you would like to attend.
Sonia Michaels is a Senior Lecturer in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at DigiPen Institute of Technology (since 2008). Sonia completed her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Washington, and has been teaching professional communication, literature, and writing for nearly 30 years. She is committed to promoting the Humanities as a critical element of game development education and empowering her students to build successful careers. Sonia has presented at GDC (2015, 2017), PaxDev (2015, 2016), GeekGirlCon (2017, 2018), and the New Directions in the Humanities conference (2018). In 2018, she was selected for GameAdvocacy.org’s inaugural “50 over 50” list of notable contributors to the game industry. In July 2019, she will present a workshop at the International New Directions in the Humanities Conference in Granada, Spain. She recently completed a chapter for Doctor Who: Twelfth Night (IB Tauris, 2018) and a number of entries for the forthcoming Encyclopedia of Sexism in American Cinema.
