If you've registered for GDC, you can use the same login credentials. Adding a session to your schedule does not guarantee you a seat. Sessions do fill up, so please arrive early to sessions that you would like to attend.
Cukia "Sugar" Kimani is a co-founder of Nyamakop, a game
development studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Since forming Nyamakop in 2015, Cukia alongside fellow co-founder Ben Myres have built their studio into "one of the most promising studios in African game development" as
described by Polygon. Cukia was named as one of Forbes Africa's 30 under 30 of 2018 for his work building Nyamakop.
Nyamakop released their debut title, Semblance in 2018. Semblance, is the first African developed game on the Nintendo platform ever. Semblance has been nominated and won several awards
as well as exhibited all around the world.
Before Nyamakop, Cukia created Boxer. Boxer won the inaugural A MAZE. / Johannesburg Award in 2015.
