Testing, verifying and refining the games you make and the way you make them is a critical component of the development process. The Quality Assurance discipline works in all three of these areas to improve the games you make. The IGDA QA SIG is presenting 3 lightning talks before a roundtable discussion. The topics will go into specifics about each of the following: QA Process, QA Best Practices, and Upcoming QA Trends. The discussion will allow attendees to dig deeper into the topics as expand the conversation out further. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions about the topics as well as provide their own perspective and experience.

Attendees will hear about a number of problems that QA teams have come across over the past year as well as practical techniques for working through them. They will also be given a chance to guide the discussion to capitalize on the expertise in the room to be more applicable to their situation. Lastly, everyone will be given a chance to connect with the greater QA community and specifically with the IGDA SIG.

Intended Audience

This session is intended for QA professionals currently working on projects as well as for anyone interested in learning more about the QA discipline and community. It also offers insights to a member of any other discipline that interfaces with QA regularly.
