Topic: Game Narrative Summit

Format: Session

Vault Recording: Video

Audience Level: All

In five short-format talks, leading innovators in game narrative will share stories behind their innovative creations: the ambitions they had, the challenges they faced, the solutions they invented. Each speaker will reveal in detail the experimental techniques they developed to mark new advances in narrative design, dissecting particular problems and revealing the strategies they deployed to tackle them.

After listening to prominent creators reveal the behind-the-scenes of their narrative craft, attendees will be able to compare and contrast various approaches to problem-solving and experimentation in interactive storytelling, while gaining inspiration for creating dramatic player experience and advancing the art of narrative design.

Intended Audience

The goal of the session is to expose attendees to innovative approaches so the audience can be very wide. Beginners in the field will learn what is considered cutting-edge, while veterans will see their preconceptions about what constitutes game design challenged.
