Children are not just mini versions of adult gamers. Kids' gaming preferences and abilities are affected by their developing cognitive and physical abilities. Session one will focus on the design of games for kids, including considering children's development at different ages and the implications for game mechanics, design, and story development.
This series of roundtables will focus on the issues developers encounter when making kid-friendly games. Attendees will be able to both share their knowledge as well as gain insight from other's experiences. The primary takeaway for everyone attending will be an enhanced understanding of the children's gaming market.
Attendees to this session should be versed in general game development or usability, and have an interest in or working knowledge of the children's gaming space.
