Building on last year's session about the need of black game developers in the game industry, this year's discussion focuses both the past and the future. As one of the most innovative sectors in culture and society, the game industry must challenge the way it educates, recruits, supports and develops black professionals in the industry. This session is designed to bring developers together to create an industry action plan to address these industry issues. In this discussion you will strategize on how to expand the gaming marketplace of ideas in new and innovative ways, where to recruit and expand the talent pool, and how to create safe environments for new ideas to grow.
Attendees will engage in a lively discussion about how to create more revenue opportunities by expanding the makers and players in the game industry. They will also be part of a groundbreaking industry initiative on how creating an action plan to address this matter.
This talk is aimed at game development professionals who have an interest in creating a better industry by having diverse perspectives, people and ideas celebrated in the industry. Individuals from all backgrounds and management levels are welcome to participate.
