Attendees are encouraged to bring up personal experiences and hypothetical scenarios for group discussion.

At the end of the Being an Ally session, participants will feel more confident in speaking up to support marginalized groups and be more aware of the challenges facing them in their workplaces and communities.

Intended Audience

Being an Ally is intended for everyone interested in improving their skills in speaking up for and supporting marginalized groups. Anyone can be an ally and this discussion allows participants to practice how to handle uncomfortable situations in the real world.
