This talk will cover the ideas, challenges and results of the ‘Battlefield V’ AI dialogue design. The creative design part of the talk will cover the ideas and philosophies behind creating believable AI dialogue in a WW2 Battlefield setting, as well as the process from recording to mastered content in Frostbite. The technical section will cover the implementation process starting from the results of ‘Battlefield 1’ to a more evolved, flexible and easier system. This session will share a creative approach that combines both audio and programming skills, stretching the boundaries of Frostbite to support the creative design for the dialogue.

This talk will give the audience a clear overview of what the DICE team does with AI dialogue, and an in-depth understanding of how they achieve their results. Hopefully it will inspire the listeners to think outside the box and use their creativity to further the state of AI and dialogue in games.
