Morgan Romine, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist, consultant, advocate, community manager, and writer specializing in gaming communities, digital citizenship, esports, and technology design as cultural practice. She is the Director of Initiatives for AnyKey, an advocacy group that leads research and initiatives to support diversity and inclusion in esports. A game industry veteran, she has worked in community management, online marketing, PR, and esports development. Known to gamers as “Rhoulette,” Morgan was the co-founder and Team Captain of the Frag Dolls, Ubisoft’s all-women professional competitive gaming team for seven years. She received her Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from UC Irvine in 2016, and is on the Board of Advisors for UC Irvine's collegiate esports program.
